We already covered picking out a domain name, but if you skipped that step or haven’t yet purchased one, then I recommend going through GoDaddy or Namecheap.
When it comes to website hosting – I’ve been building websites since 1996, and I’ve used over 30 web hosts during that period of time. I’ve had great stories and I’ve had horror stories, but at the end of the day I know exactly what makes a good web host.
My #1 choice is Liquid Web.
However they are expensive. I believe the lowest plan is $50 a month. If you don’t want to invest a lot, I’d recommend HostGator who I used to be hosted with. You can get started for just $3.95 per month. I’d recommend doing that – then if you are getting traffic start to look at upgrading to Liquid Web.
Liquid Web are my #1 choice by far. They host some absolutely massive websites and their servers are amazing. I’ve had no issues with the servers and the few times I’ve contacted customer support, I’ve had responses within 5 minutes.
They’ve also went above and beyond what a normal web host would do to fix things and that’s been appreciated big time.
(And yes, they do accept gambling affiliate sites!)
